Cornwall Health Schools Team Dance to the Beat
Cornwall Healthy Schools are using a Just For Schools 4 wireless dance mat package from fitnessgaming to show Cornwall schools that physical activity can be fun.
Fitnessgaming delivered the package and gave training to both the Cornwall Healthy Schools Team and a number of PE teachers from schools around the county. Following the installation team member Aimee Pascoe, Physical Activity Support Worker, said:
"It was a brilliant day, and the team are all keen to get these going, after thoroughly enjoying the training although they had been apprehensive to start with. Thank you for running these sessions and all of yours and Duncan's support."
Martin Wild, the fitnessgaming director who delivered the training commented: "There was a bit of apprehension beforehand, but the Wii is pretty intuitive, so once the technology had been dealt with the team were much more relaxed. The next part of the training is on the dance mats, and after just two or three tracks the discussion had turned to the different ways the team members could use it with their Healthy Schools. Progression from there onto the final part of training, the team game, was easy and fun. And of course pupils themselves will just get straight on the mats as they are very familiar with the technology".
